IAEA Confronts Iran with Evidence of nukes

The International Atomic Energy Agency has confronted the Iranian government with evidence supplied by the United States that their nuclear program has had two purposes; the manufacture of fuel for civilian reactors and the goal of acquiring a nuclear weapon:
The International Atomic Energy Agency said Friday that it had confronted Iran for the first time with evidence supplied by the United States and other countries that strongly suggested the country had experimented with technology to make a nuclear weapon, but that Iranian officials dismissed the documents obtained from an Iranian scientist as “baseless and fabricated.”
The exchange was contained in an 11-page report in which the agency painted a mixed picture of Iran’s activities, saying Iranian officials had answered a number of long-standing questions about its nuclear activities but continued to defy the United Nations Security Council by refusing to halt the enrichment of uranium. Still, the amount of uranium that the agency reported that the country has produced so far was small — roughly a tenth of the amount that would be required to produce enough fuel for a single nuclear bomb. Since the IAEA does not really "confront" nations in the true sense of the word, all the Iranians had to do was answer IAEA questions convincingly enough so that there would be no further inquiries .
In other words, the Iranians could lie through their teeth but unless the IAEA can prove they are lying, that particular aspect of the investigation is dropped.
And in the case of Iran, when they can't answer questions raised by our intel, they simply accuse us of fabricating it. Convenient, no?
The next round of sanctions are on track now that Russia, who indicated they would support the limited sanctions proposed, is aboard. As long as the Iranians produce fuel in violation of security council resolutions, suspicion will continue to fall on them.
