In the latest equal opportunity deathly incidentA Palestinian couple holding hands as they approached the Erez Crossing on the Gaza Strip-Israel opened fire on soldiers about 50 yards from them....
Israeli soldiers quickly returned the fire.
The shooting either set off a bomb being carried by one of the Palestinians, a woman, or she detonated herself. Her companion, a man who was carrying a rifle, also was killed.
The doomed couple holding hands as their other hands opened fire adds a new plot twist to the Romeo and Juliet story.
