Astonishingly, Bill Clinton has conceded that global warming alarmism is aimed at policies that will make us poorer. Jennifer Parker of ABC News' blog Political Punch reports that yesterday in Denver he said:"We just have to slow down our economy and cut back our greenhouse gas emissions 'cause we have to save the planet for our grandchildren."
She provides video, and asks about the obvious contradiction between this statement and earlier statements that somehow cutting so-called greenhouse gases will be good for the economy in the long run.
This is a classic gaffe: accidentally telling the truth in an offhand moment.
