Kos Being 'Mainstreamed' by Liberal Media

Rick Moran
The mainstreaming of Markos Moulitsas Zúniga ("Kos") continued apace as the blogger/political activist showed up on the grand old dame of Sunday morning news shows, Meet the Press.

After declaring last week that the far left liberal netroots were now the "center" of the electorate, the liberal media seems intent on helping him in at least appearing to be reasonable. Running a site where it was recomended that Joe Lieberman be "gassed" or where anti-Jewish hate speech is part of the daily fare (not to mention some of the more outrageous conspiracy theories about the Bush Administration) might seem to some a disqualification for being considered reasonable much less part of the mainstream of American politics. Not so Kos and his netroots whose conference last week drew 1500 activists to Chicago and all but Joe Biden among Democratic Presidential candidates.

Kos appeared on MTP with former Congressman Harold Ford of Tennessee who was supposed to speak for the real center of the Democratic party - the Democratic Leadership Conference - but who ended up praising Kos and his movement. Ford did make mention of some "awful things" that have been posted at Daily Kos but other than that, he joined the Democratic hallelujah chrous in giving fulsome praise to him.

Rather than expose the hatred that permeates the writings of so many on his site, the liberal press seems to want to make Kos seem as reasonable as possible in order not to scare off the voter when it becomes clear that the far left netroots have captured the Democratic party.

For a video of the Ford/Kos lovefest, Hot Air has the story.
