Richard Baehr quoted in the NYT

Thomas Lifson
The New York Times has finally quoted Richard Baehr, AT's chief political correspondent. The subject? Not the race for the GOP nomination or Middle East policy, but sports. Specifically, the pending sale of the Chicago Cubs, a subject in which he has some expertise as well. Avid sports fan that he is, Richard was at the Cubs' home opener, sitting next to a good friend who is leading one group that is bidding on the Cubs.

As editor, I frequently attempt to persuade Richard to write on sports, especially the cultural and business dimensions of sports. Now that we see the Times willing to quote him on sports if not politics, perhaps I will have a better batting average in my cajoling.
