A mind is a terrible thing to waste
Sean Penn, who used to make good movies, and Barbara Lee, Congresswoman from Berkeley, addressed a "teach in" today at the Grand Lake Theatre, an old movie palace in Oakland. Penn was unable to summon rhetorical power beyond "Take this war and shove it," but the crowd lapped it up.
Click on the pictures provided in this San Francisco Chronicle article and check out the average age in the crowd. They could well be Penn's parents. They are, in fact, the same people who demonstrated against the Vietnam War.
