February 15, 2007 Selective linking at the NYT (updated)The New York Times publishes an article today on the bloggers covering the Libby Trial, mentioning AT. Most of the article concerns Jane Hamsher (late of the Ned Lamont campaign) and her site Firedoglake.com. The title of the article evokes an "aren't some of those bloggers cute?" image:
Our own Clarice Feldman and AT merit a brief mention and even briefer quote than provided to Hamsher:
Interestingly enough, no hyperlink is provided to either any of Clarice's articles or the AT home page. Unlike Firedoglake, and also unlike lefty websites Huffington Post and Daily Kos, even more briefly mentioned than AT. Now why do you suppose the Times provides links only to the lefties? Don't they want their readers to see what is on offer here?
Update: Subsequent to publication of this item, the NYT added a link to AT. |
