The agony of Lebanon continues
Rick Moran of RightWing NutHouse long has been covering developments in Lebanon, a task which cannot be a happy one, but one which he explains in great detail. He has two different stories posted today.Efforts by the Arab League to mediate a solution are coming to naught. Perhaps not surprising, but still not a good thing.Meanwhile the basis is being laid for an eventual international tribunal case against Syria by the UN prosecutor brought in to investigate the bombing death of Hariri.Belgian prosecutor Serge Brammertz says that he has now identified suspects in the killing of ex-Prime Minister Rafiq Hariri and has also made connections between that crime and 14 other politically motivated killings over the past 2 years:The Syrian regime looks to be deeply implicated by the evidence."...if the witnesses can stay alive until the Tribunal hears from them, the world will indeed be shocked to discover that Syrians at the highest levels of government not only knew of the plot to kill...(Read Full Post)
