How to make propaganda

Gawker has spotted what looks a lot like a propaganda operation in the making from our friends at CBS News.

CBS is on Craigslist [and] wants someone like you to interact with some dirty Arabs.

Do you get nervous when you see a Muslim on an airplane? Have your opinions about Muslims changed since September 11? Do you have family or friends that get nervous around Muslims?

A NEW CBS SHOW SEEKS New York families who have traditional family values but are uneasy around Muslims.

The show will profile families in different communities across the country. This one hour documentary—style series from the producers of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" and "Deal or No Deal" will take a look at the people and cultures that make up America.

I have some other ideas CBS might want to try out:

Do your get nervous when you see a white male with an American flag lapel pin on his suit? Have your opinions about people who display patriotism changed since President Bush was re—elected? A new CBS show seeks Berkeley people who have progressive values but are uneasy about unabashed love for America?

Or how about this?

Do you get nervous around straight couples with small children? Do you and your friends feel threatened by breeders? A new CBS show seeks East Village people who have cutting edge values and are uneasy with the whole Ozzie and Harriet thing.

See how easy it is? You can find any bigotry you set out to look for. It's as easy as blowing up a Ford pickup truck.
