Los Angeles Times Staff Writer who has done a very good job covering the Iraq War, has published an
interview with US military commanders in the region including CENTCOM Commanding General John Abizaid. Gen. Abizaid said,
...much of the insurgent violence was being carried out by a network of regional cells that loosely coordinate their operations with former officials of Saddam Hussein's ruling party. No kidding.
