Kerry's charity

editorial
Talk is cheap. Oh how easy to utter pious, feel good, warm fuzzies so listeners feel good and warm and fuzzy also.Only meanies will disagree.
Ah but what good is talk unless there is action? Volunteer regularly. No time? Well, write a check or two for a worthwhile charity. That takes just a few seconds; any amount is usually gratefully accepted and it is usually even tax deductible.
John Kerry, a member in excellent standing of the feel good, warm and fuzzy Democrat crowd, has been in a position to act for 20 years. And act he did——with other people's money. Voting toredistribute wealth, he mechanically voted for every tax increase that invoked compassion, "the children" and the usual feel good causes, easily earning his title as the Senate's most liberal member.
But did he put his money where his mouth——and vote——was? No—o—o—o—o! As this eight year old BT (Before Teresa) column exposes, Kerry was tightfisted with his own money. So tightfisted that he didn't spend a cent of it on those he wailed about publicly.
Compassion ended at his checkbook. A true Democrat indeed.
