British Immigration Minister Resigns

editorial

The UK's Immigration Minister, Beverley Hughes, finally resigned today following mounting evidence which showed that her department was approving visa claims which consisted of forged documents.

Her conduct has also caused immense friction between the British government and the civil service. Many of the leaked letters ——  that showed she had misled the British Parliament in answers she has previously given on the question of Romanian immigrants with forged documents —— originated from angry Immigration workers, who felt they were being blamed for Beverley Hughes's incompetence. And they wonder how Terrorists get into the UK?
