The IRS Scandal and Tax Reform

Of the three big scandals currently roiling DC -- the Benghazi terrorist attack, the seizing of phone records from the Associated Press, and the Internal Revenue Service's targeting of conservative groups seeking tax exempt status -- the IRS scandal may alarm the most Americans. That's because the IRS is the most hated and feared outfit in government. In the disaster film The Day After Tomorrow (2004), a new Ice Age descends on America in a matter of hours. A group of young people take refuge in the main branch of the New York City Public Library, and to keep from freezing to death, they start burning books.
