Liberals regularly slander blacks who dare leave the left's ideological plantation by calling them Oreos -- black on the outside but white on the inside. The slur is bizarre in that it assumes that unlike whites, Asians, Hispanics, and Native Americans, blacks can have only one set of political views without being self-haters.
What is interesting is that President Obama clearly meets the criteria of being white on the inside. He is constantly taking stands that are directly against the best interests of black Americans but which line up closely with the party line of the rich white bicoastal liberal elites.
The first example is so-called same-sex marriage. Blacks overwhelmingly oppose the modern gay fantasy that two guys or gals can have the same relationship as a man and a woman. Prop 8 passed in California because 70% of blacks voted for it. Yet Obama has come out stridently for both the gay lifestyle and so-called same-sex marriage, staying in lockstep with rich white liberals, not blacks.
Next we see Obama's demands to legalize millions of low-skilled illegal immigrants who will compete not with the children of the rich white liberal elites Obama seems to identify with, but with the lowest-income blacks. Even though the CBO has predicted a significant reduction in wages for the first 12 years after the Obama-backed immigration bill passes, an impact that will land disproportionately on the backs of hardworking blacks, Obama has no qualms with the bill. Perhaps that's also because many rich white liberals are looking forward to cheaper gardeners and lower overall labor costs at their businesses; an excess of workers gives companies a buyer's market. Once again, Obama is supporting the position of rich white liberals and ignoring his policies' impact on blacks.
One of the key reasons blacks don't fare well in America is that inner-city schools consistently fail to give blacks a proper education. Private schools, many Catholic, in the inner cities do a much better job of educating blacks, showing, as everyone knows, that blacks are not incapable of being just as valuable citizens as people of any other race. But Obama, and the Democrats in general, side with the teachers' unions and against the good of inner-city blacks. By consistently opposing school choice, which would allow many more blacks to send their children to schools that actually care about educating blacks, Obama is siding with the unions over the black populations of our inner cities.
Today the single largest cause of mortality in the black community is abortion. Black unborn babies are three times more likely to be aborted than white unborn babies. Back in 1977, Jesse Jackson said, "Abortion is black genocide. ... What happens to the mind of a person and the moral fabric of a nation that accepts the aborting of the life of a baby without a pang of conscience?" But instead of trying to ensure that America doesn't lose the blessings of all those blacks killed before birth, Obama says, "Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you." Given that Planned Parenthood has been caught accepting donations specifically targeted at aborting blacks, asking God to bless an organization responsible for killing so many unborn blacks seems to be the position of a white racist rather than that of a black man.
While it's obviously impossible to look into Obama's heart and understand why he so consistently sides with white liberals over the interests of black Americans, it's not unreasonable to guess that perhaps his being raised in a left-wing white family had something to do with it. Unlike many black leaders who pulled themselves up from the poverty of American's Democrat-run failing inner cities, Obama lived the white life from an early age.
Whatever the cause in the end, it is clear that on every major issue of interest to blacks, Obama takes a position that hurts blacks but helps white liberals.
It's wrong to call Obama an Oreo, since conservatives believe that blacks can have any political position and still be blacks, but in a world where liberals yell "racist" when someone merely questions Obama, it is a good thing to get the word out: if Bill Clinton was our first white "black" president, then Obama is our first black "white" president.
