Holocaust Musings

The meta-reality of the war against the Jews throughout history is one of the most mysterious, vile, and unfathomable features of mankind's long journey though light and darkness since time began.

After the Holocaust was visited upon the Jewish people in Europe seventy years ago, the threat of another Holocaust of the Jewish people in the Middle East is somberly clouding the future of the state of Israel. The world watches with curiosity, perhaps in expectation. Not only does it not comfort and assist the targeted and intended victim, but it does nothing to punish or expel the self-proclaimed arrogant rogue aggressor from the international community. Iran remains a member-nation of the United Nations and its agencies. "Business as usual" characterizes Europe's and Asia's commercial relations with Iran. America under Obama continues bashing and isolating Israel.

The war -- that the Muslim world has openly declared to destroy Israel -- is not an isolated policy initiative, but a pathological pattern of intent and behavior over generations. In 1948, Abdel Rahman Azzam Pasha, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, was matter-of-fact in promising a great massacre for the fledgling Jewish state. In 1967, the holocaust threat against Israel was voiced by the President of Egypt, Gamal Abdul Nasser, who called for the liquidation of Israel in the regional conflagration that evolved into the Six Day War. Then, in 1973, the surprise Arab assault orchestrated by Anwar Sadat, Nasser's successor, evoked the mournful comment from Israel's Defense Minister Moshe Dayan "that the Third Commonwealth [after the destruction of the two temples and states in antiquity] may fall."

The Islamic Republic of Iran, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, Hizbullah, al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood are explicit in their call to annihilate Israel. The code rhetoric to exterminate "the Zionist entity" which was founded in 1948 is used to indicate the Islamic goal. And there are other Arab forces, from Egypt to Syria, from Saudi Arabia to the Palestine Liberation Organization, who also harbor this genocidal lust but deceptively obfuscate their dream by employing the subtle terminology of "removing the traces of aggression," demanding "peace with justice" and "justice for the Palestinian people," and excoriating Israel "for the evils of the occupation." All this subterfuge-inspired verbiage is patently designed to execute "the final solution" of the Jewish problem -- again.

The Holocaust memorials and museums in Washington and Berlin should be dismantled, and Holocaust commemorations around the world should be canceled. No need to sustain the lie that a lesson has been learned, that enlightened humanity will not allow genocide to run wild again. Cambodia, Rwanda, and Sudan have already served as mass killing fields. And Israel is accused of premeditation in harming civilians in warfare and oppressing civilians in peacetime, warranting putting her on trial for "war crimes," and chastised until outlawed from the "community of nations." This tirade is but a grotesque political warm-up as a final Holocaust solution is being prepared in the counsels of Tehran and its collaborators in crime.

The macabre political coloring of the Arab war against the state of Israel has yet another insidious dimension. For the Arab campaign of violence since 1948 wears the mask of a peace project, with Israel cast as the obstacle to mutual accommodation. The language of inversion presents the Arabs as longing for peace, proposing peace plans, pining for an end to conflict and war. Can it be true that the yearning-for-peace Muslims have really abandoned the war ethic of Islam and the ambition to slaughter the Jewish intruders and occupiers of Palestine? A Jewish state in "Palestine" permanently will be considered outrageously blasphemous according to the sacred creed of Arab/Muslim religious civilization.

When the dust settles, the holocaust intriguers and dreamers, villains and murderers, will be pushed off the stage of history. The moment for this is not far away. Their ambition is a combination of self-delusion, blind hatred, and compulsive myth-making. The Lion of Judah is preparing for war but stretching out its hand in peace (though not in suicide). Israel will unleash its powerful arms to smash the enemies who so deserve the punishment they will receive. Israel's enemies have after all worked so hard, and for so long, in order to be worthy of the destruction to be visited upon their peoples and lands.
