July 15, 2008 When is Obama Not Lying?By James LewisThe liberal media are down on him today -- but of course they're counting on the Braindead Vote to forget all about that in November when they lift him up again, just in time for the election. They're stuck with O'Bumbler, and he knows it. So Obama has been lying his head off. Can we count the ways? On Iraq, he's was agin' it before, but he's for it now. On Iran, he's was for it before, and agin' it now. On FISA terrorist surveillance, he just voted for what the hysterical Left has convinced itself to be a Nazi attack on civil rights. On Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, he's danced about that one half a dozen times, always ending up on a different side. But liberal Jews will still vote for him, because they hate George W. Bush more than they love reality. Obama is going to attack John McCain from the right, believe it or not, figuring that the Sucker Vote will fall for it. And he might be right. So when is Obama not lying? When you catch him unawares. He wasn't lying in his San Francisco sneers for the white voters of Pennsylvania. He wasn't lying when he said everybody (except Obama) should learn Spanish. He wasn't lying when he was riffing about a jazz-based Black identity curriculum to fix all the education problems of the inner city. He wasn't lying when he said that Iran is just a "tiny country" (it isn't) that poses no threat to the US (it does). He was just riffin' free like a rock guitar player in all those cases, just out of the inspiration of the moment, but he wasn't lying. You have to remember, though, that he's a quick study, and he'll fix all the dumb mistakes in no time. Obama is a rookie who's learning to act like a pro fast -- but he has no depth of knowledge about anything that matters. He's a pure creature of the dogmatic Left -- during his adolescence with Frank Marshall Davis, in his education at Occidental, Columbia and Harvard Law, in his alliance with ACORN and Bill Ayers, in his two autobiographies, in his Alinsky period as a community agitator -- excuse me, "organizer" -- when he clung to such as Rev. Jeremiah Wright because it served his vast ambitions. Obama is the slickest empty suit the Democrats have had since the early Clintons. That's what they wanted, and that's what they got. The biggest question is still why Barack Obama is so sure, deep in his heart, that he's qualified to lead this country of 300 million human souls at a time of war and crisis? Why is a rookie Illinois legislator who constantly played footsie with the Chicago Machine, with Black "Liberation" Theology -- the new psychic slavery for inner city Black folks -- and with corruptos like Tony Rezko -- why is this slick street hustler so profoundly convinced that he, and only he, can save this country and the Planet? That question belongs somewhere in the depths of human pathology. It has something to do with being abandoned by his father and mother in Hawaii and Indonesia, and leaning on old mentor Frank to imagine a messianic future for him. But it's no qualification to wildly overestimate your own experience and abilities so that you are just living in your own rockstar fantasy life. That was the way of Bill and Hillary, the Arkansas country slicksters, who also had liberals by the millions suckered to the gills. So when is Obama not lying? When he blurts out his real opinions in private. Fortunately he is so undisciplined and overconfident that he'll do that often enough. And Obama's wife Michelle is a genuine PC Commissar, straight from the Russian steppes, who just cannot think outside of the racial resentment box. This is Hillary & Bill, Version 2.0; a trendier paint job but the same old putt-putt under the hood. Well, the Dems and the media sold us eight years of the Clintons in 1992, culminating in the 9/11 disaster in New York City and the Pentagon. This time the liberal powers are going to try again with a couple of Black slicksters. They will lie and lie and lie and still be covered up by the media. Get ready. And if you want to save your country, go all out for the only choice we have. You don't have to like John McCain --- all you have to do is contemplate the alternative. And pray for your country. Your country will need it. James Lewis blogs at dangeroustimes.wordpress.com.

The great Thomas Sowell has it right:
"John McCain can't get me to vote for him, but the prospect of an Obama Presidency can."

It is a totally different world than it was in 1992. Terrorists have learned from the attacks on the world trade center. Next time, it will be something much more lethal, killing hundreds of thousands. And BO will want to sit down and negotiate? What will he do when half the country has been murdered, and nothing has come from negotiation? That's the scariest part of all. The militant Left never learn until it's too late.

So, when is Obama not lying?
That's an easy one...
When his lips aren't moving!
Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

This is a great article.
McCain is winning without alot of effort YET. After, the convention the KO is coming.

"The liberal media are down on him today ..."
They're down on him for moving to the center -- for supporting a FISA bill that doesn't indict telecoms, for saying he approves of the recent SCOTUS decision on handguns in DC, blah, blah, blah.
Even though his recent actions and words are a lie, the MSM is just upset that right now BO isn't acting like the most liberal senator in the joint. That's what they want and they'll keep complaining until that person comes back. And if elected, come back he will, ten-fold.
Lying? Big deal. The MSM praised Clinton for being a skilled liar back in the 90's. They touted it as a virtue -- so lucky were we to have a POTUS that could lie so skillfully.
Why it took their breath away ... a kind of precursor to the tingling feeling Prissy Matthews got in his leg over this latest incarnation of empty suit the Democrat Party is pushing.

McCain does not make me want to vote for him. At first I was worried that he wasn't energetic and, well...truly conservative enough to get conservatives to vote for him. I still don't think so but if anything can energize the Republican base it will be the prospect of a Obama as president. Who knows, the energy gathered to resist that might even be enough to help stem the tide of a Democratic congress and senate. Hope does spring eternal so they say.

For those who swear they will never vote for McCain, just try to think of him as a co-worker.
You're stuck with them, whether you like it or not. You don't have to like them, you just have to work with them.
Posted by: Ed | July 15, 2008 09:57 AM
Then we get hit again, BO won't stand for "Barak Obama" anymore. It will stand for "Bend Over", because that's what his proposed policy translates to.

I just read an article Obama Vs. McCain: The Wisdom Factor.....in there the author made a comment that I can't stop thinking about....'It's 3 a.m.in the White House. Who do we want picking up that phone? (Kyle-Anne Shiver).

To vote for McCain or not to vote. That is the question. And here is my answer for your consideration. In states where Republicans are in definite minority (like my own Maryland) I would not vote because RINO McCain as a candidate is a shame for Republican Party and not acceptable for majority of conservatives. In states where Republicans have a chance I would pinch my nose and vote for him because the alternative is incomparably worth. I know it sound cynical on the surface but if you look deeper you will see a different perspective. Very low level of support in non-Republican states hopefully will send him a signal that there is a significant opposition among Republican supporters. On the other hand McCain may still win not so much on his merits but as a symbol of anti-Obama sentiment.

"Arkansas slicksters"? This seems to be in the same vein as the profound ignorance of those who call Bill Clinton, who grew up in one of the most cosmopolitian small cities of America and was educated at some of the country's finest universities, Bubba. The failure to realize that the female half of the gruesome twosome is not from Arkansas but the environs of greater Chicagoland is even more profound ignorance. Mr. Lewis would do well to ponder on the fact that the dreadful duo were not the idols of ignorant hillbillies and backwoods rednecks but rather of the majority of the state's best-educated, most-sophisticated folk, the same ones who supported integration and civil rights. The segs knew better. One of the few beneficial aspects of the Clinton presidential campaign was that it showed that despite over a century of disparagement of alleged Southern ignorance the Yankees are far more ignorant of us than we are of them.
Obama's political career has been built on white guilt, so his box of racial resentments will never be empty.

I was tempted to say "when his lips aren't moving" but Mark and Mojo beat me to it. Then I thought better -- I wouldn't be surprised if Obama even lies in his dreams.
So the answer is: "Never".

What's alarming is the ease with which Obama lies. Recently his lies have largely consisted of revisionist histories of prior positions. For example, he has consistently said -- until now -- that he would end the Iraq war unconditionally and bring the troops home in 2009. Now he says he will withdraw only after consulting with military commanders, and that this has always been his position. The latter statement is verifiably false.
Obama recently scrubbed his web site of prior statements condemning the surge in Iraq. Now he praises it. He is engaged in a transparent attempt to con voters into believing he supported the surge.
This oily pretender mistakes brazen lying for audacity.

It might be appropriate to remember that Orwell once said that the ones at the top are not frauds who sucker the others, but rather they are usually the true believers. Put simply, to succeed they have to believe their own lies. That's a lot more troubling, and it doesn't apply to just one party.

Ark Ashamed of Bill,
When Clinton looked us (you and me) in the eye and swore that if we elected him again he would *not* cut his term short to run for the president and then turned around and did exactly that; I got a sad feeling for our country.

Leon, even in states where GOPers are a minority, I'd run the risk of voting McCain cuz there are Dems who will not be voting for the Marxist.
Posted by: Helen | July 15, 2008 06:55 PM
I'm a little disappointed in some of the posters here. You must vote for McCain.
The only practical way to vote ever, is to vote the party line, everytime. It's not just about who is at the top spot but also about helping conservatives in congress push the agenda.
McCain is for drilling. McCain is for success in Iraq. He's "right" enough for the agenda to survive.
We must also remember that it's likely there will be a need for a supreme court nomination. Who do you want making that choice?
Party Trumps Person. Learn it, live it.
One more thing: MSM. No. Wrong. The Liberal Mass Media is not Mainstream. Let's change that one to: LMM.

If only Hitlary could have been nominated, I would have felt free to write in Duncan Hunter, Now, I'm stuck again, Voting Against instead of For a Person!
Disgusting and Depressing! The quality of our Politicians makes me Puke! Juan is not a whole Lot better than O-Bom-Ba, he is Pandering to gain Power, that's it, the end!
The dude obviously has Very few convictions, it's just all about ME again!
ON Iraq and the WOT he is indeed strong, and don't get me wrong, this is very important, on the economy, social programs, etc. he is very weak and I don't think he really cares!
I got an email from the Kansas Republican Party inviting me to his visit here this week, I responded that I didn't think I'd qualify as I'm not a member of "The Race," Laraza(SP) or the NAACP!
Sheesh, this country is in Deep SHIT!

You sound like a typical republican Clinton hater - Well, the Dems and the media sold us eight years of the Clintons in 1992, culminating in the 9/11 disaster in New York City and the Pentagon
As if Clinton had anything to do with it.Also, if Al Gore was president on 9/11/2001 there would never have been an attack in the first place. The World Trade Center would still be standing tall. You republicans are such hate-mongering liars it's just pathetic.

The article writer is trying to convice you that voting for McCain is your only choice. BS. Look at the Libertarians and Bob Barr (from the right side of things). If you're dissatisfied with McCain as presidential candidate, make common cause with the disaffected left to try to get one of the second parties the 5% to qualify as a major party. You won't find any difference in the long term between McCain and Obama, they both serve the same master (IE neo-con and neo-lib internationalists and the corp backers). They both suck and will be bad for the country.

I will join ranks this year with the several million voters who will not waste their precious vote on either of these two shils for the elitist power brokers. I will vote for either Bob Barr or Chuck Baldwin, both of whom believe in the Constitution, limited government, and returning the Republic to the People. I refuse to help enable this joke of a false choice between two parties that are only self-serving and continually undermining our civil liberties. The wisdom in this election resided in the Ron Paul platform. Over a million people voted for him in the primaries and his movement is snowballing.

Tough question.
I am not even sure he was speaking the truth in those candid moments such as the "bitter" comments. Those were made to please those rich donors from San Francisco - make them feel better than people who didn't shell money for B0.
I am still waiting for that statement against interest such as "I didn't really clinch anything - super delegates don't count when settling the primaries" or "I am not really entitled to Michigan delegates". OK, maybe I am expecting too much...How about "I have no idea what the frell I am doing, I am just making it up as I go along"

John McCain is so much better than Obama, all you need to do is look past him being a principal in the S&L "Keating 5" ripoff, killing sailors on the USS Forrestal, his father's cover-up of the USS Liberty and his Free Trade/Open Border policy to know he is vying to be one of the 10 Kings in the Beast Kingdom.

Only a pinhead would believe there is a dime's worth of difference between Obama and McCain; both are members of the global socialist fifth column known as the Council on Foreign Relations, and both believe in bigger government. Both also want to bomb Iran without an act of war or the declaration thereof, which is unconstitutional.
If anyone needs to be afraid of a foreign threat, look at the Russians (who are building Iran's nukes) and the Chinese, who regularly hack our power plants into failure and conduct espionage relatively unmolested by the FBI and CIA. Somebody gets paid a lot of money when they look the other way from actual treason.

I have to disagree with some of the folks posting here about John McCain.
I am , or use to be a Democrat.
George Bush was and is a good President.
Approval ratings dont mean anything, no one ask my opinion.
Just who's opinion s do they get anyway.?
Mr.Obama is a Socialist.
Nancy Pelosi is a Communist Socialist.
Congress, in all its Democratic glory, has a 14% approval rating, the lowest in history.
Socialism is not for America.
Please vote McCain.

The article did not cite one instance when he did lie. All Thomas Soewll did was drag out the same old SMEARS. Don't you have any real material? Can't you raise yourself above the cheap shots, like calling him a messiah? Is that the best you got? Is that the best you got? You have nothing.

I too am sick of voting for the "lesser of 2 evils" appointed by the CFR (Council of Foreign Relations)....The CFR hates this nation and is pushing for the NAU (North American Union)...Many politicians/media members belong to this club and some candidates and/or their spouses belong to it....The real reason there is such pandering to the "essential Latino vote" as well as pandering to illegal aliens, La Raza, MALDEF, the insistence of us learning Spanish and completely ignoring the annual May Day LA GRAN MARCHAS is to push this NAU down our throats. I also remember the 1986 Shamnesty bill. Many promises were made but never kept and now the illegal alien problem is much, much worse.

And George the son and Clinton and George the father and Reagen and on and on and on. If you were trying to provide evidence that Obama was a new better special kind of liar....you did not convince.

Obama's endless string of fibs, lies, exaggerations and Outright Damned Lies are very typical of the politics he embraces, which is Marxian Socialism.
In the history of the last century, Socialist politicians in China, Russia, Germany, Cuba and many other places dominated by various Communist/Socialist/National Socialist ilk killed upwards to 169,198,000 human beings!
See Death by Government written by J. Rummell on the eventual effects of all Socialism. This was in addition to transfering incalculable wealth from the productive to the lazy and ruthless.
Such is the true nature of Obama's Socialism, whose home in America is now within the Democratic Party.
You just cannot conduct that kind of business for 5 whole minutes without never-ending lies, because after all, you are trying to get power by telling people you are their Savior. You will solve their every problem and make them richer, stronger, happier, more caring, healthier, more respected, more diversified, more equal, better fed, better housed and totally "saved" without any responsible effort on this planet forever!
He, like the Clintons, and all Socialists MUST LIE, and lie very big, just to survive. These guys are the vampires and you have the blood they must take, and in the process corrupt your own soul with the poison of Socialism.
Few critics are focusing on that Major Poison about Barach Obama. Instead they are getting wrapped around the axel on all sorts of peripheral issues, such as his wife, his "inexperience" and his blackness.
He is a communistic-loving Socialist, folks, and that's the incredible danger he will always pose, no matter what sweet-nothings he puts in America's ear.

Normally I don't get into politics. After reading this I couldn't resist putting in a comment of my own. Personally I think that this country is going to hell in a hand basket. The thing that you should be looking at is who you want holding the rope. I mean really, on one hand you have a back stabbing liar, and on the other you have someone that is going to croack in a couple years at best. The only thing that you can hope for is that the person taking over for him will have half a clue what they're doing. If the past is any indication then we're all in for it no matter what. It's easy to sit back and complain about the way that things are going in this country but when you get right down to it, who is really doing anything to change any of it. Gas prices are still way to high and because of that the economy is still dying. Stimulus package. HA! That was a joke. If you want to affect change then you need to gather together as a nation and make them change it. A couple hundred thousand people can't change anything. Think about this as well. The fact that you have a vote that counts for nothing in this country is one of the best illusions that we have. For all the talking you arn't the one making someone a president. That honor is left to just a small handful of key people. How does it feel to find out that you're not as important as you thought you were?

Both Obama and McCain are slick characters. But I find it funny as hell that anyone could believe that the Obamas are holding any sort of racial resentment. Look what's happened to all the black leaders in past times. And the obvious -- Obama has an ALL WHITE ADVISOR TEAM. Hello?? He was the #1 campaigner for a senator who was in there so long he was one of the guys who filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Terrible voting record he has too. And you'd think McCain is posessed by some Viet ghost, the way he votes on veterans issues. Look at this expose and prepare for one shocker after another.

Well Mike how about this.
Here's some of Obama's 'Not Exactlys' actually this list could be updated with new one's arriving straight from his mouth daily
1.) Selma Got Me Born - NOT EXACTLY, your parents felt safe enough to have you in 1961 - Selma had no effect on your birth, as Selma was in 1965. (Google 'Obama Selma' for his full March 4, 2007 speech and articles about its various untruths.)
2.) Father Was A Goat Herder - NOT EXACTLY, he was a privileged, well educated youth, who went on to work with the Kenyan Government.
3.) Father Was A Proud Freedom Fighter - NOT EXACTLY, he was part of one of the most corrupt and violent governments Kenya has ever had.
4.) My Family Has Strong Ties To African Freedom - NOT EXACTLY, your cousin Raila Odinga has created mass violence in attempting to overturn a legitimate election in 2007, in Kenya. It is the first widespread violence in decades. The current government is pro-American but Odinga wants to overthrow it and establish Muslim Sharia law. Your half-brother, Abongo Oba ma, is Odinga's follower. You interrupted your New Hampshire campaigning to speak to Odinga on the phone.
Obama's cousin Odinga in Kenya ran for president and tried to get Sharia muslim law in place there. When Odinga lost the elections, his followers have burned Christians' homes and then burned men, women and children alive in a Christian church where they took shelter.. Obama SUPPORTED his cousin before the election process here started. Google Obama and Odinga and see what you get. No one wants to know the truth.
5.) My Grandmother Has Always Been A Christian - NOT EXACTLY, she does her daily Salat prayers at 5am according to her own interviews. Not to mention, Christianity wou ldn't allow her to have been one of 14 wives to 1 man.
6.) My Name is African Swahili - NOT EXACTLY, your name is Arabic and 'Baraka' (from which Barack came) means 'blessed' in that language. Hussein is also Arabic and so is Obama.
Barack Hussein Obama is not half black. If elected, he would be the first Arab-American President, not the first black President. Barack Hussein Obama is 50% Caucasian from his mother's side and 43.75% Arabic and 6.25% African Negro from his father's side. While Barack Hussein Obama's father was from Kenya, his father's family was mainly Arabs.. Barack Hussein Obama's father was only 12.5% African Negro and 87.5% Arab (his father's birth certificate even states he's Arab, not African Negro). From....and for more....go to.....

February 28, 2008. Kristoff from the New York Times a year ago: Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that seemed delightfully uncalculated (it'll give Alabama voters heart attacks), Mr. Obama described the call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset." This is just one example of "Obama's narrative is being altered, enhanced and manipulated to whitewash troubling facts."

"He wasn't lying when he said that Iran is just a "tiny country" (it isn't) that poses no threat to the US (it does)."
What in hell is that supposed to mean?

A little P.S.:
ANYBODY who would vote for ANY of the criminal refuse offered up by these two crime organizations is an asshole helping to pound the last nails into this country's coffin. Don't vote for ANYBODY for federal office. The federal government has to die, so that this country (and the rest of the world, by the way) can live. WE DON'T NEED A FUCKING PRESIDENT OR A CONGRESS!
Have you all recovered from your fainting spell?

Actually the fed gov is just a puppet like the rest of the gov's of the world. Get rid of it and the puppet masters just build something else and we are right back where we started from, only wore out. We need to figure out how to get rid of the puppet masters instead, then the rest will come down with them.

Only an Act of God can bring about what so many people are asking for...
But I would caution BigM. While you may take this opportunity Not To make your Vote Count your indifference may actually help herald in a new reign of Socialism into our beloved country.
"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery."
Winston Churchill.
Most people aren't even aware that the Democrats ruled Washington for over 40 years. It wasn't until 1994 when the so called Gingrich Revolution changed that for a short period of time. Nor do people realize that it was the Dem's that created the failed policies of the many entitlement programs that are falling apart right before our eyes.
Quoting a noted basketball legend and talk show co-host Charles Barkley:
"Poor people have been voting for Democrats for the last fifty years....and they are still poor".
Last week a poll on CNN stated 89% of blacks polled are voting for Obama. Obama could be Satan himself and as long as he was black 89 percent would vote for him.
That coupled with those who have seemingly unresolved "white guilt" just add a little whipped cream on top of the cake for him.
The Media and news outlets in this country would like us to focus on "Undecided" "independent voters." But I call this tunnel vision, because there is a much bigger, dark horse in this presidential election, and that dark horse is all the illegals in this country, 12 million x2or3 that we are told hiding in the shadows. Hiding in the shadows my foot, you believe that line, and I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to sell you.
You want to talk about stealing your vote.
Read The Threat of Non-Citizen Voting http://www.heritage.org/Research/LegalIssues/lm28.cfm
And if that doesn't give you a nosebleed. Census of non-citizens, legal and illegal, in apportionment, which leads to the misallocation of congressional seats in the U.S. House of Representatives. This causes states such as Indiana, Michigan, Montana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Mississippi to have one less seat than they should and states such as Texas, New York, California, and Florida to gain seats they would not have if only citizens were counted. This represents an obvious and clear Equal Protection problem--a violation of the principle of "one man, one vote"--since it takes fewer votes to be elected to Congress in districts with large numbers of non-citizens. See Dudley L. Poston, Jr., Steven A. Camarota, & Amanda K. Baumle, Ctr. for Immigr. Stud., Remaking the Political Landscape: The Impact of Illegal and Legal Immigration on Congressional Apportionment 1 (2003).
You want a voter registration card just apply for a driver's license...no questions asked in many states. And you wonder why our politicians pander.
So while many ppl will stay home this year because of their indifference to this election, just remember one thing and don't complain after this election, because there are millions out for better or worse that do have their eye on the prize.
In closing I would only like to add one more quote.
"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within." ... Joseph Stalin

It makes my stomach sick - Democrates don't like Obama. He is a lier and a fraud and everybody knows it. They will force themselves into voting for him over McBush FEAR! Republicians don't like McCain. He is a lier and a fraud and everybody knows it. They will vote for him because they are soooo afraid of Commie Obommie......
It's a race to the bottom. Americans aren't divided, just polarized. No one wants a depression or tyranny for their children.
I can't do it - Not for a puppet, not for fear. I'll vote - 3rd party Baldwin maybe Barr a man of duty and respect to the Constitution.
I like the idea of doing away with the Federal Government, we have the advanced communications to provide for our common defense, web conference capability for trade, trasportation and state commerce issues. I think the general government and the UN are outdated and poorly designed for the necessary citizen oversight.

Obama entered Occidental College in California in 1979.
In his first memoir, "Dreams," Obama included a description of black student life at Occidental College in Los Angeles.
"There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names."
He added: "To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."
You are known by your friends and associates -- and Obama's are the hard-core leftists.

I have followed this presidental election throughout, I am an active union member our unon is backing Obama, However, I will never vote for him because there is to much that all falls back to black and white, and I feel this is all that is going on with this election. I am sorry for the first time I will be voting Republican. This is the election from HELL!
